 How can I create and manage site locations in the CMDB? Export knowledge base Export     SubscribeSubscribe      Show article info

You can do this by:

  1. Open the general section called Services/Products/Assets/CMDB
  2. Create a tree node in the called "Sites" or "Office locations" or such. You do this by right clicking on the top node.
  3. Below the leaf called "Sites"  (or "Office locations") you add sub nodes with your locations. You do this by right clicking on the top nod
  4. Create a new custom ticket/issue field of type "Configuration item", see more here how to do this...
  5. Name the ticket/issue field in 4.) "Site"  or "Office location"
  6. Then you point the new issue field to that tree node in the "Services" tree (CMDB), you do do this by changing the settings in the field
  7. Add the new issue/ticket field to the ticket/issue field configuration that is used for your workspace/project
