You can export issues to a format of your choice from the table with issues or report summary
In several places in VisionFlow, it is possible to export a collection of issues (or just one):
In the issues table, select several issues and either:
- click on the "export issues" icon in the top right
- click on the "update selected issues" link, and select the option "export table data"
In Reports - Time report: Generate the report and then click on the export icon in top left.
In General > Search page: Run a search, and then click on the export icon in the issues result grid.
The export dialog
In this dialog, you can select the file format of the export, as well as which issue fields that should be included.
By default, the issue fields shown in the table will initially be marked as included in the export, but you're free to add/remove fields.
Tip: if you want to have a specific setups for different types of export, use different column views (in the Issues list) that shows different fields. Then you can select a specific column view, click on export, and the wanted issue fields will be automatically added by default as exportable fields in the Export dialog. No need to manually select the correct fields.
Format - You can export to these formats:
- Xls - The classic excel format developed by Microsoft
- Csv - A text file with comma separated values.
- Xml - This is an xml format
- Pdf - The Portable Document Format pioneered by Adobe Systems
- Rtf - Rich text format developed by Microsoft
Here you select the fields that should be included in the export. Ctrl-click to add multiple fields not next to each other. Shift-click to add multiple rows at once, from the last selected row.
As mentioned before, the initial selection corresponds to the issue column view, or the report table view.
Checking any of these options will export additional issue data along with the issue fields. These options may be visible or not, depending on the permissions of the user.
Export Issue History:
Selecting this will add the issue history as well. Each issue history event will show up as its own row, with each row belonging to the same issue having the same issue field values, except for the time and description of the issue history event.
Selecting this will add the SLA Target history as well. Each SLA Target event will show up as its own row, with each row belonging to the same issue having the same issue field values, except for the SLA Target data (Name, Status, elapsed/paused/remaining times, Estimated Breach, etc.)
Note: Checking any of these option can generate a lot of rows to be exported, if the selected issues have many events or SLA Targets. An issue with 15 history events will result in 15 rows that are identical except for the issue history information. This is also the reason the additional data options are mutually exclusive.
