When an incoming email has a ticket id, the system will associate the email with the issue that has that ticket id.


When an email comes to an active ticket system, and it has a ticket id from another project, the system will move the email to the other project and then attach it to the email history as a comment.



This means that an incoming email that is for another project, should be transferred to that project instead of asking the recipients to mail the other project.
