Are my emails encrypted during transport? Export knowledge base Export     SubscribeSubscribe      Show article info

The short answer is yes!

The more detailed answer is that it depends on the security of the recipient's email server.

All emails that are sent out from our servers are encrypted using opportunistic TLS/SSL. This means that the emails are encrypted end-to-end during transport over the internet provided that the recipient’s email service provider supports TLS/SSL.

If your recipients are using any of the proven email providers you are guaranteed that the emails are encrypted. Such providers include:microsoft (outlook.com, office365.com etc), google.com, hotmail.com, aol.com, iCloud.com, rackspace.com and so on. For a more comprehensive list, see here...
