How can we import data into VisionFlow? Export knowledge base Export     SubscribeSubscribe      Show article info

There are several ways to import data into VisionFlow.

Customers import data themselves

Web Service API

Many of our customers have internal developers of their own, so it is quite common that they do this themselves. Normally this is  done by writing a small import script and using our Web Service API, or  by creating database scripts to import data into the database  directly. We will naturally assist remotely if questions arise.

More information on the Web Service API here: http://www.VisionFlow.se/ShowKnowledgeBaseEntry.do?id=143

Company/Customer data

If you want to import Company/Customer data, then you can do this from an existing .csv-file (semicolon separated file).
Read more about this here: http://www.VisionFlow.se/ShowKnowledgeBaseEntry.do?id=2129

Tasks/Issues/Cases

If you want to import tasks/issues, then there is a function to import data in CSV and MSProject xml file format.

Read more about import/export to MS Project: http://www.VisionFlow.se/ShowKnowledgeBaseEntry.do?id=691

User data

If you want to import User data, then you can do this from an existing .csv-file (semicolon separated file).

Read more about this here: http://www.VisionFlow.se/ShowKnowledgeBaseEntry.do?id=1394

If you have the installed version then you also can import users via the LDAP connection.

We can assist with the import

If you want we can also help you to import data into the application. This can be done on an hourly basis by our tech-team. Please contact us for more information about this and how we can help you.

Note: We do not recommend import of more than 2000 objects at a time since that slows the system down. If more objects needs to be imported divide them into groups of a maximum of 2000 and then add more groups once the first is imported.
